Dogwood Day Program, located on Highway 25 South in Asheville, is the prime location for serving consumers from the Buncombe/Henderson area. We incorporate daily activities like volunteering at food distribution centers, day trips to a working farm to feed the animals, and daily fitness program tailored for our consumers individual needs through an affiliation with RUSH fitness. Our company offers a variety of events each month that every community based or day program consumer can participate in. Local weekly activities may include learning about the heritage of our wonderful state and visiting places of interest throughout Western North Carolina. These day trips and abundant activities encompass much of the business model that have made North Carolina Outreach Home Care so successful. We pride ourselves with a standard of commitment to the consumer unmatched in the market place. We maintain a level of consumer excitement as our activity calendars continue to fill up with more and more quality programs! With the Blue Ridge Parkway minutes from our back door, we can observe and marvel at the picturesque landscapes. Our local natural beauty offers the perfect setting for picnics and nature walks. We are enriching the lives of those we serve one day at a time!

Spruce Pine Day Program is located about a mile from the quaint and beautiful downtown area, and less than a mile from the hospital. Just across the river is our popular Riverside Park with playgrounds, ball fields, and a track for walking. We often picnic at the park as a way to get out and enjoy the fresh air. Spruce Pine also has a friendly atmosphere, with friendly faces, and a kind acceptance of those with special needs.

Our day program is equipped with a number of features. We have exercise equipment, Nintendo WII systems for interactive games, areas for craft and educational activities, and also computer stations with internet service. We serve consumers from Mitchell, McDowell, and Avery counties from this location. We regularly participate in day trips for bowling, hayrides, YMCA for swimming, and Grandfather Mountain for exploring the beauty of the Blue Ridge Mountains. We also participate in the numerous major events scheduled company wide for all clients and employees of NC Outreach Home Care. We look to fill our activity calendars with education, activity, and fun.
