"We have a special place in our hearts for these guys and we treat them just like family."

Group Home Services - Our Social Worker will assist with the steps necessary for placement. Our administration will provide assistance to any family member or caregiver interested in placing a loved one with a diagnosis of mental retardation or developmental disability in an appropriate level of care group home or family care home within the service area.

Daily Home Life - Each weekday is planned with the arrival of the bus to pick them up around 8am. They enjoy spending time at the day program and work shop. They have the ability to learn new things and some even earn a paycheck at the end of the week. Around the house, each resident has a responsible area for chores to be completed. It is assigned based on their individual abilities. It is a family ran environment and everybody plays an integral part in the routine. They have scheduled craft time, movie nights, and occasionally play ball outside with the live in family.

Educational and Work Opportunities - We work closely with area MR/DD case managers in arranging a suitable day program for each resident based on their individual functionality levels. We encourage participation so that they can work on independent living skills and meeting suitable goals developed for them.

Shopping and Leisure Opportunities - Our residents have an opportunity for weekly outings to an array of local restaurants and are encouraged to shop for their own personal hygiene items with the assistance of a caregiver.

Vacation and Travel - Our homes typically go on two scheduled vacation periods per year. We travel as a group and have several volunteers along for the trip. We prearrange dinner shows, movies, and plenty of activities to ensure the residents have a wonderful time away from normal day to day living.

Family Visitation - We certainly encourage families to be involved. Each resident looks forward to spending weekend and holiday time with their families. All it takes is a quick sign out sheet, an inventory of the medications required for the weekend, and it’s off to spend time with family and friends.
